September 12, 1967: Shop, watch, pack

Diary entry for September 12, 1967:
Feel fine today. Drove to Penney's. Bought some clothes. Then drove to Griffith Park Observatory and Planetarium. Saw a show about stars and many exhibits about the universe. David Wayne loved it! Came home, cooked supper and ate, and then Mother packed.

Well, darn, Nana's already packing to go back home. :-(

I'm glad Mom felt good enough after yesterday's surgery to get out and about today.

Here are scans of the front and part of the inside of the trifold brochure from the Griffith Observatory and Planetarium.

We very likely attended the first showing of the "Northern Lights and Other Sky Colors" show, which sounds really awesome, since that one started today and showtimes were 3 PM and 8:30 PM. I wonder if Mom was disappointed about not seeing the "Trip to the Moon" show, since she mentioned that in her August 23 letter.
