Banks

At some point during our first month in Los Angeles my parents decided that rather than purchase cheap souvenirs for me that would not last, they would instead try to purchase a small bank (piggy bank) from each place we visited. My bank collection began with the purchase of an alligator bank from the California Alligator Farm on August 12, 1967, and grew from there. This page will be a running list of the banks as they are mentioned in the blog.

1. August 12, 1967: Alligator from California Alligator Farm
2. August 19, 1967: Whale from Marineland of the Pacific
3. August 20, 1967: Japanese Woman from Little Tokyo
4. August 26, 1967: Elephant from Jungleland
5. August 27, 1967: Buddha from Japanese Deer Park
6. August 27, 1967: Covered Wagon from Knott's Berry Farm
7. September 2, 1967: Chapel from Olvera Street
