August 21, 1967: No mail, no groceries

Diary entry for August 21, 1967: No mail, no groceries

Mail was late today so we didn't go anywhere. We did not even go to grocery store. David Wayne played with Jeffrey in PM.

I guess Mom was really aching for a letter from home if she couldn't leave the apartment before the mail came. (She did diagnose her recent malady as homesickness.) It's a good thing we had some food in the apartment.

I'm glad Jeffrey is still around since Mom said he was "moving in a few days" in her letter postmarked August 11. The longer he stays around the better, since he helps keep me entertained.
