To help you keep track of who's who, this page will list the people mentioned in the blog and how they are related. Names will be arranged in alphabetical order by first name or nickname in most cases.

Adelia (also 'Delia) - Papa's second wife (1900 - 1983)

Aunt Edna - Uncle Ben's wife (1899 - 1999)

Dad - See Dave Dave - My father, David Lee Jennings (1938 - 1991). David Wayne (often abbreviated DW) - That's me, David Wayne Jennings (born in 1962). I guess it's a southern thing that people often go by their first and middle names. I never have given my name as David Wayne, but that's just how I've always been known to many family members, even today. When I was four my mother married her second husband, who I consider my father. His name was David Lee, so it helped avoid confusion with me going by David Wayne and my father typically going by Dave or David Lee.

Judy - Nate's wife

Linda - My uncle Wayne's wife, so my aunt.

Mike - My mother's younger brother (born 1950).

Mom - My mother, Linda Sue Jennings (1941 - 2015).

Myrna - My maternal grandmother's cousin, but she was much closer in age to my mother. (1939 - 2009)

Nana - My maternal grandmother, Eloise Mordecai (1916 - 2002).

Nate - One of my father's brothers (born 1940)

Papa - My maternal grandfather, Marshall O'Connor Mordecai (1910 - 1986). He and my grandmother divorced in ~1954. He was a barber in Denton, TX at the time.

Patsy - Our next door neighbor in Carrollton, Patsy Williams. Husband was W.C. and they had two sons, Steve and Roger.

Sara - My mother's aunt, Sara Lee Frerichs (born 1918).

Taffy - My mother's dog (1964? - 1981?). She remained in Texas under the care of my grandmother and uncle while we were living in Los Angeles.

The Jennings - My paternal grandparents, David Crockett Jennings (1904 - 1981) and Jessie Lee Jennings (1911 - 1990).

Uncle Ben - My maternal grandmother's uncle (her father's brother), Benjamin Haliburton Taliaferro (1892 - 1980)

Uncle Mike - See Mike

Wayne - My mother's older brother, Marshall Wayne Mordecai (1937 - 2014).
